Help with deciphering Russian texting

To supplement my Russian via ForumLanguage plus a tutor I got, I also have befriended a Russian I found on instagram and we’re messaging back and forth to help improve my Russian. He uses some emoticons/expressions I am not familiar with though. Any idea what ))) means? It doesn’t look like a smiley face and I’ve never seen it before so I was curious. Thanks!

You’ll see “)))” style smileys a lot around Russian people.January 1, 2016Neon_Iceberg2367One ) – is a smile, the ))) is “laughing”. It is an analog of πŸ˜€ =D and others similar.January 1, 2016olimoThe more brackets, the stronger the emotion is! “)” or “))” is a smile, “)))” is laughing, and “))))))))))” is laughing really hard! The same with “(“, “((“, “(((” and “((((((((((“, the latter tells you that the person is really upset with something.January 4, 2016VinnHowardAUXILIO!!
